World-famous red-haired adventurer Adol Christin awakens in the unfamiliar land of Celceta, recalling merely his name. Bereft of the past explores the town he happened to drift into, searching for any clues at all. Joined by a thief who claims these days to have spent some time in his side, the young adventurer helps rescue miners that are doomed out of a meltdown — an action which ingratiates him to the Romun Army general. Impressed with their abilities, the pair is enlisted to explore Celceta’s Forest and map its vast expanses — a task which many have attempted previously, but where none have ever returned alive.
