Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi Finishes Shadowbringers and Laughs at Your Backlog
Friends, we have arrived at the end of this journey. We’ve been there to witness the end of our journey. Hironobu Sakaguchi was the director of the original Final Fantasy, and the lead developer behind many early entries. only started playing Final Fantasy XIV late September. He’s almost ready to play Endwalker in two weeks.
This was a move that Naoki Yoshida, FFXIVcreative Director and Producer, assumed was more cautious as they were about to share the virtual stages at Tokyo Game Show 2021.
“We will have a talk session about Zoom and I haven’t spoken to him in awhile,” Yoshida said during the media tour. “I know Mr. Sakaguchi is busy so I don’t know how far he will get into the game. It’s a great thing that he is trying the game out.
Sakaguchi persisted, however. It was a lot. He actually went through all of them finishing Heavensward within two days and Stormblood taking six. The Final Fantasy father began the latest expansion, Shadowbringers on October 24th, and posted a screenshot of its ending on October 28th.
Sakaguchi is not yet complete. There is the post- Shadowbringers main scenario, as well as a slew of optional activities in Eorzea. He can jump into the Gold Saucer and make some Relic weapons. He can level up the Jobs and take a look at the Disciples of the Land and Hand. It’s difficult for new players to fully experience FFXIV.
He’s now at the top of the last mountain, before heading to the literal Moon in the Endwalker expansion. The game will be available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5.
