Large Man Forces Indie Developer Young Horses To Add Trophies to DLC
Bugsnax is the PlayStation 5 launch title that was also available on PlayStation 4 and PC. As seen on the most recent State of Play , will soon receive new DLC. The Isle of Bigsnax update is free and adds new bugsnax and giant versions of existing bugsnax to the game.
Developer Young Horses outlined the features of the new expansion last week. Greg Miller, a professional loudmouth and Kinda Funny CEO, ignored all the additions to ask one question: Can he use this for new trophies. Young Horses said that this is not possible.
It makes sense that there are no new trophies. This is a free expansion they aren’t making any money on. Sony has some very complicated rules about trophies and how to get platinums. They have eased these rules over the years, but never completely ceded control. Trophies are an odd luxury.
Miller threatened to create the Young Horses list. After a few exchanges Philip Tibitotski, President and CEO of Young Horses, tweeted that the team was considering adding trophies at a meeting that day. We interviewed Greg to find out more about the new trophy situation.
