Apex Legends Season 12 Gameplay Trailer: Map Changes, New LTMs, Battle Pass, and More
After days of anticipation fueled by Season 12’s launch trailer and the most recent episode Story from the Outlands, Apex Legends fans have seen the Defiance gameplay trailer. Continue reading to learn about the many changes in Season 12.
Olympus Map Updates
The trailer showed many fascinating details, including the destruction of the Olympus map. Octane’s father was almost responsible for its loss in the trailer’s launch trailer last week. Many structures are trapped in the void, and at least one sizeable red balloon that kept the city afloat has disappeared.
Maggie: A New Legend Has Arrived
The trailer also featured the latest Legend. The Ring’s Mad Maggie was shown in action, and it was clear that her combat style was as brutal as her. The “Meet Maggie” trailer will reveal more details about her abilities.
New Battle Pass
Although the gameplay trailer does not reveal much about Season 12’s Battle Pass, it does showcase a Loba cosmetic skin that will be part of the Defiance Battle Pass. The Battle Pass trailer will launch later in the week with more information.
Control, a limited-time mode, is the most talked about. It will be available for three weeks in Season 12, starting February 8th and ending March 1st 2022. Octane’s father sponsors this mode. It pits two teams of nine Legends against one another on unique maps to hold a series of Control Zones. For every second that they have a Zone, players earn points. The team with the most points will win.
The new Control mode allows players more Control over their gameplay than ever. Control is similar to the Winter Express LTM. Players can switch to a different Legend and weapon loadout every time they die.
After dying, players quickly respawn. They can choose from the three Control Zones where they want to respawn. There is no limit to the number of respawns. This allows for faster, more aggressive tactics and lower risk than other game modes.
You can find more information about Control on the official Apex Legends website of EA.
