PARADOX INTERACTIVE ACQUIRES ACADEMIA : SCHOOL SIMULATOR KICKS OFF SALE MANAGEMENT WEEKEND
Publisher Paradox Interactive announced it had acquired the management title Academia School Simulator, developed by Squeaky Wheel Studio. It has also launched its first-ever Management Weekend Steam Sale, as its collection of titles in this genre continues to grow.
Academia: School Simulator places players in control of the building and managing their high school. You will need to manage your staff and ensure that you have the best faculty available. Also, you’ll have to decide whether to give your students the right facilities. This includes classrooms that meet their needs and toilets, so they don’t have to search for bushes in the woods when the weather demands.
Under the direction of Ryan Sumo, former CEO, developer Squeaky Wheel Studio worked to create Academia School Simulator. Sumo was also responsible for Prison Architect’s distinctive art style. Paradox Interactive also acquired the title from Introversion Software in 2019.
The Management Weekend Steam Sale starts today and runs until March 28. This gives players five days to buy a variety of titles at lower prices. Skylines, Surviving Mars and Prison Architect, will all be discounted by 80%. Academia – School Simulator will be 30% cheaper than its base price, while Surviving The Aftermath will get a free weekend.
The publisher has provided a set of statistics for its management titles. It shows that 1.5 million people are using them each month. Skylines reached 37 million hours of play as it celebrates its 7th Anniversary. 2 billion colonists made their way to Mars in Surviving Mars. 40 million prisoners managed to escape prison in Prison Architect.
