John Boyega says that The Last Jedi was the worst sequel to Star Wars
It would be a misstatement to say that Star Wars: The Sequel trilogy is a mixed bag. Many would say that the sequel trilogy was a complete disaster.
Many have criticized The Last Jedi’s consistency in recent years, despite the fact that there are still highlights. The Last Jedi’s change of director seemed to have thrown things off a little since it was Rian Johnson and not J.J. Abrams who had directed The Force Awakens as well as The Rise of Skywalker.
As The A.V. Club reported that Star Wars trilogy sequel star John Boyega spoke out on his thoughts about the three movies. First We Feast asked the actor to rate the Star Wars films he appeared in, from the best to the worst. The interview was part of a new Truth Or Dab: Rapid Fire episode that was posted on Twitter.
Star Wars The Force Awakens has to be the most popular. For me, Star Wars IX [ Rise of Skywalker] is second. The worst for me – and I mean this in the best possible way – would be Episode 8 [ The Last Jedi]. Boyega replied, “They’re all beautiful,” giving a side-eye to the camera at the very end.
Boyega said last year that, while speaking to the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast he couldn’t look at the script leaked from the time when Colin Trevorrow, the director and writer of The Rise of Skywalker was supposed to direct the film, He would be “heartbroken”,.
Boyega told Trevorrow that Lucasfilm could give him a chance to work on another project in the future. Because I am sure that they would like to work with him in any capacity again.
