Warzone powers removed from Battle Royale Matches
Call of Duty Warzone has welcomed stars of television and film to its battlefields. The game’s battlegrounds have hosted everyone from John McClane in Die Hard to Ghostface in Scream.
In the midst of the growing attention for Season 5 in Amazon Prime, The Boys, various operators from the show have been added to the game. This is along with the temp V upgrade that gives players superpowers.
The ability to use laser beams or electric shockwaves to destroy opponents has caused chaos since these new additions were made. To address the concerns of players, the game’s developers removed superpowers in a battle royale.
Some Warzone matches are no longer superpowered
Call of Duty announced on July 26 that the Temp V Upgrade has been removed from battle royale standard matches.
Raven Software decided to give Temp V a new game mode called ‘Supe’d Up’, instead of removing the entire field upgrade. According to the players’ reaction, this decision was a good one. One player responded to the news by saying, “This should have been the case for years.” Another called it “the biggest win of Season 4.”
Temp V still appears in every game mode, according to some players. One player even declared: “This 100% is false because Temp V can be found in any and all game modes.”
Many players still wait for a fix that will address the constant performance problems which have been present throughout Season 4 Reloaded. The announcement was met with a response from one player who said: “Doesn’t matter which playlists I use when my packet losses look like the first fifty digits in Pi.”
Homelander will soon lose its laser-like eyes, but there is now a playlist dedicated to those who want some superpowers sprinkled into their Warzone adventure.
