Hogwarts Legacy is a game that has disappointed many players because it did not deliver the features promised during the lead-up.

Hogwarts Legacy is not without its problems, despite its success. It has made over 1 billion dollars across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Some fans, who are looking forward to the Next Game in the Harry Potter Universe, are also thinking back on the promises made by the developers before Hogwarts Legacy came out.

GrandOldPuke, a Reddit user from HarryPotterGame Subreddit asked “Have any of the claims made by the developers turned out to be accurate?” The screenshot below is from an article published before the release of the game, which featured an interview between Avalanche Software devs. They said in an interview that “interacting with someone on a side mission will affect how you interacted with them during the main plot – and the other way around.”

Then they added, “The player’s order of completing these quests can impact the storyline and gameplay.” The post was met with a response from players who said that the claim was exaggerated or fabricated. “Straight-up false. This game has no consequences. “Nothing is connected,” declared one player. Another player said, “objectively false,” while another commented, “False, as f**k. It could’ve been much more.

The game’s interconnected storyline wasn’t removed before its release. A morality system, too, was apparently cut during the development phase. The system would take points away from the Hogwarts House of the Player for bad behavior and murdering students… I thought this was a bit harsh but it’s ok.

Hogwarts Legacy can be played on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Nintendo Switch.
