Fortnite Players Soar into the Sky with Shuri’s Black Panther Claws Bug
Fortnite players using Shuri’s Black Panther Claws are facing a frustrating bug that sends them soaring into the sky unexpectedly. The bug, seemingly random, has players fuming, adding to the list of ongoing issues since Chapter 5 Season 4 launched on August 16.
This season, Absolute Doom, saw Epic Games partner with Marvel once again, bringing iconic weapons like Captain America’s Shield and Shuri’s Black Panther Claws into the game. While these additions have spiced up the game’s meta, they’ve also brought an array of problems. Several new items have been hit with significant nerfs, sparking player frustration. On top of this, Doctor Doom’s weapons have been deemed overly powerful, creating an imbalance in the gameplay.
The most recent bug occurs when players use the pounce ability with Shuri’s claws. Instead of a quick leap forward, players are teleported to the top of the island, stranded for over a minute. While fall damage is avoided, the mishap often leaves them vulnerable during intense battles. One Reddit user shared a clip of this exact glitch, resonating with others who have experienced similar skyward journeys.
Reddit user GalickGunn recounted a close call, where they were launched into the sky during a showdown but were fortunately saved by their son, who secured the win. Another player, doomsoul909, faced the bug during a “claws only” challenge, adding to the community’s growing frustration.
This isn’t the first time Fortnite players have encountered issues with Marvel-themed weapons, and it likely won’t be the last. Some speculate that the bug is linked to server desynchronization, causing the game to miscalculate players’ positions and default them to the spawn point at 0. While Epic Games has yet to address the issue, players are hoping for a swift fix to keep their battles grounded.
