Radiohead Game KID a MNESIA EXHIBITION Released
Developers [namethemachine], Arbitrarily Good Productions, and Epic Games Publishing announced their collaboration with Radiohead. The game, which adapts Kid A’s album into a videogame experience called KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION, will be available for free download on November 18th.
According to the description on the store pages:
KID A MNESIAEXHIBITION is a fevered space, an edifice made from the art, words, and recordings of Radiohead’s Kid A, and Amnesiac, found from around 20 years ago. Reassembled and given new mutant lives
Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood’s anxious writing and artwork, created to accompany Radiohead’s Kid A, and Amnesiac’s music, are discovered and brought back to life in a building that was hidden in a pencil-filled forest. This allows the idea of an exhibition to be stretched to the breaking point..
The multitrack original recordings of Kid A, Amnesiac, and Kid A are scattered and reformed in an array of impossible or possibly populated spaces, populated by equally impossible and possible creatures. This art was created by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood as the millennium approached.
KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION’s trailer gives a glimpse of the cerebral and dreamy experiences available to players who explore the depths of this synthesis, which combines music and video games.
KID A MNESIA EXHIBITION is available for PlayStation 5, and PC on November 18th.
