Riot Adding Pride Month 2022 Collectibles For All Games This June
Pride is coming, and in June Riot Games will add LGBTQIA+-themed Pride 2022 emotes to League of Legends (VALORANT), Teamfight Tactics(TFT), Legends of Runeterra, and League of Legends Wild Rift.
Riot posted a teaser video showcasing the Pride 2022 collectibles in a post. The short clip shows that League of Legends members will be able to unlock Pride champion trails for the Pansexual and Lesbian, Nonbinary, LGBTQIA+ flags, as well as the Transgender, Bisexual and Asexual flags. League will be adding a few more motives, including a fuzzy poro featuring a rainbow flag and one with Graves and Twisted Fate cuddling each other. TFT has some bright booms for Little Legends. Wild Rift gets a new port and a rainbow emote. Legends of Runeterra also gets a special icon with Graves/Twisted Fate and a card with Graves/Twisted Fate. VALORANT gives players LGBTQIA+ cards and gun friends that they can flex in-game.
The Riot offices will celebrate Pride worldwide with marches and major esports events. This is just a few years following a protest by Riot employees against its culture of discrimination and misogyny and sexual harassment.
Riot also included the curious message “Keep your eyes on the ocean’s horizon. You may just spot two of Bilgewater’s finest heading towards Bilgewater with their own stories and stories to tell.”
Cross-game Riot Pride 2022 collectibles start dropping on June 1, 2022, at the beginning of Pride month.
