Steam will soon be offering one of the biggest 2022 team-based shooting games for free download.
It’s hard to move from Free Games available on Steam. The digital storefront has thousands of freebies that you can spend weeks or even months on if that’s what you want. This upcoming release will keep you busy for a long time.
Please drum roll – it is overwatch 2. Overwatch 2, is not a new thing. It’s free to play since October last year. or its predecessor, (rest in Peace, Old Friend) was never available via Steam. PC users had to use the Battle.net Launcher to access Overwatch 2.
Blizzard Entertainment confirmed in a post, that Overwatch 2 was just the beginning of the company’s games that would be coming to Steam. The studio said that they “will share more information about other potential games that will come to Steam when it is the right time”. Diablo IV anyone? Blizzard may be waiting for a few patches before launching the game on Steam.
Blizzard’s president Mike Ybarra stated in the blog that “it is our mission at Blizzard, to listen to and exceed players’ expectations with everything we do.” While Battle.net will remain a top priority, Blizzard has heard from players that Steam is the preferred platform for some of their games. Overwatch 2,, was released on Steam 10 August. Valve is happy to help us make this happen.
Don’t forget that Overwatch: Invasion will release the first three missions of Overwatch 2. on August 10.
