About Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China is the first of three games in the Chronicles spinoff series based on Assassin’s Creed. It’s a 2.5D platform video game, similar to the earlier Assassin’s Creed II Discovery. The game takes place in China in 1526. Shao Jun is the protagonist. This character was previously introduced in the short film Assassin’s Creed: Embers.
Shao Jun, one of the few remaining Chinese Brotherhood Assassins, is set two years after the events in the film. Zhang Yong, who is the leader of a group known as the Tigers and which in reality are Templars acting as puppets to the emperor, decimated her brotherhood.
Wang Yangming, her new leader, calls her to China to reaffirm Templar’s influence. Ezio Auditore gave her the Precursor artifact. She allows herself to be captured at the beginning of the game to enter an ex-Assassins stronghold, now controlled by the Tigers.
