Just Cause 2 is an action-adventure game that was developed by Avalanche Studios in 2010. It is published by Eidos Interactive, distributed by Square Enix, and available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
The game features Rico Rodriguez as a major operative for the Agency. He is trying to overthrow Panau’s island dictatorship. There are three types of missions in the game. Agency missions are the main story of the game. Faction missions help players support the three factions.
Stronghold missions require players to infiltrate the government base and free them from the factions. A progression system was introduced to the game that allows players to earn chaos points to progress through the campaign missions.
Chaos points are earned by completing missions or destroying government property. The government collapses as the chaos points accumulate and the factions become more powerful. Just Cause 2 offers more than just normal missions. It also has race challenges that give players cash.
Players can explore the game’s open-world even when they aren’t on missions. Panau covers an area of approximately 1,000 kilometres (390 mi). Panau is home to over 300 settlements and a wide range of landscapes, including jungles, mountains, and deserts. These settlements can contain government property, which can then be destroyed and unlocked, such as cash stashes, weapons, vehicles, and armour parts.
Players can liberate settlements by finding all collectibles and destroying all government properties. This will give them chaos points. Players who create chaos in restricted areas or allow others to enter them generate heat noticed by hostile government militants. The heat drops when they evade them. Rico’s PDA is the map. It contains points of interest such as mission locations, military outposts and face challenges, and Rico’s progress. The PDA may allow you to set waypoints.
