Geoff Keighley broadcast the latest version of his Gamescom Opening Night Live, showing new images of games such as Halo Infinite and Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. LEGO Star Wars Saga: The Skywalker Saga was also shown. A few new titles were also revealed at the event, including a new game by a theme park tycoon.

 

TitledPark BeyondBandai NamcoLimbic Entertainment released a trailer for the upcoming release, which showcases a variety of futuristic rides. It also confirmed that the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in the near future. In the trailer, the owners of a theme park argue over which attractions to use. Then they hand over control to the player, allowing them to design their own rides and roller coasters.

The clip hints that players will get the opportunity to build physics-defying attractions, with the featured roller coasters including a giant mechanical octopus that throws visitors between its tentacles and a large cannon that shoots winged carts through floating hoops. A towering combination of multiple Ferris Wheels is shown, as well as a giant carousel and a rollercoaster that jumps between two ramps. This ride is a modern take on the tycoon theme and puts emphasis on the player’s imagination.

Bandai Namco’s website reveals that players can customize their parks in either a tycoon or sandbox mode. The reveal trailer shows characters offering advice on how to best manage their parks. They’ll also be able to customize their park’s theme and even place additional facilities such as concessions, decor, or shows. Bandai Namco promises that they will be able to take their roller coasters on their own.

 

Park Beyond was one of the many games that were revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live. There were also several other announcements. Firaxis unveiled its long-rumored Marvel strategy RPG, Marvel Midnight Suns, during the event.

 

The trailer for the latest installment in the Saints Row series was released. It confirmed that Volition will be rebooting the franchise, and it focuses on an ambitious new group of anti-heroes. The game takes place in Santo Also, a fictional city. It features small group criminals who are attempting to take on the Third Street Saints. The Gamescom kickoff show had much to offer and revealed many exciting new projects.
