“Call of Duty: Warzone” finally unveils Caldera Map and Verdansk’s replacement

Warzone will get a new map to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard next Wednesday.

This is a welcome breath of fresh air to long-time players as Caldera has the same scale and functionality as Verdansk but offers cross-play, progression, and support for new warfare arenas. Warzone will be called Warzone Pacific for the first season of tie in content between battle royales and Vanguard. It’s not clear how big of a difference it will make, but I think everyone will still call it Warzone.

There are over 200 points to see on white sandy beaches, volcanic rock crags and scattered towns. Warzoneplayers will gather intel ahead of the official launch. This is thanks to the inclusion of references to Caldera, Verdansk and other Pacific islands in the Secrets of the Pacific challenges.

Operation: Flashback will begin on November 18th. It is the “last dance” of the iconic map before its disappearance. The Last Hours of Verdansk will take place at the end of the month. I am curious to see what the developer does with Verdansk. Although it is likely to be a huge explosion, it will also allow for the display of the destruction that the players have done to the land, making it inhospitable and preventing any life from flourishing there.

You are not? You don’t need to worry about it.

The publisher also said that there was no reason to be concerned about unsavoury characters ruining the fun with Vanguard. Activision explained that the upcoming initiative was supported by dedicated professionals who are focused on fighting unfair playing. It was only days later that we discovered that hackers had successfully reversed the RICOCHET system using clever elastic trickery.
