Digimon Survive was delayed…
Digimon Survival has been officially delayed to 2022 by Kazumasa habu, producer of the game, and Bandai Namco this week. The latest delay in hitting the game comes after financial reports earlier in the year indicated that the game would miss its 2021 release window. The game has been delayed to next year, so no release date has been established.
Those who are still waiting for Digimon survive should be able to delay announcements by looking at how the game was delayed from 2019 – 2020, and again – from 2020 – 2021. It seemed more likely than not that we would eventually get the announcement made by Habu in Thursday’s tweet.
“First, we would like to thank all of you for your patience and support for Digimon survive,”Habu stated. Our original goal was to launch Digimon survive in 2021. Due to the fact that we need to dedicate more time to development, the game’s release date has been moved to 2022. This was not an easy decision, but we wanted to ensure that we used this extra time to improve the quality of the game.
Habu continued his statement by saying that the developers are working hard on the game. He asked for patience from fans as progress is made. Although there was no indication of when they might be released, Habu stated that more updates and news would soon be made.
Over the past few months, there has been very little news about the game. Digimon fans have previously received details about new characters and the story of Digimon Survive. But, those aren’t happening as often as they used to. For example, the most recent tweet from Digimon Games about Digimon survive was about the delay that brought the game back to 2021.
