What happens to ethereal items?
Each season brings one major change to ensure that things stay fresh. As a nod towards the Ethereal items in Diablo 2, Blizzard introduced Ethereals to Season 24.
Ethereals are only available in Seasonal play and will not transfer to non-seasonal characters after the season ends.
Players who collect all 21 Ethereals in Season 24 will be rewarded with the Feat Of Strength and Ethereal Recollection. All Ethereal transmogrify options for future seasons and non-seasonal play will be available to players who achieve this feat.
