Season of Mastery: Server List Announced

Blizzard has released new information before the release of the Season of Mastery, which will be on the 16th of Nov. and name reservations on November 11th.

Server names for North America, Europe and Australia have been announced. They are starting as few servers possible to ensure that each server’s health is maintained throughout the year.

Only one account will be allowed to reserve a name on Thursday. Once a realm is “full”, that server will close. Depending on how many servers close, there may be the possibility for Blizzard’s to launch new servers.

Due to the speed of the content, there are only two realms at the moment: normal and PvP. This is because the content was not designed for RP players.

Blizzard doesn’t want servers that aren’t balanced like they were in TBC. Servers should be kept as low on launch as possible to ensure they can survive the entire year.

It is also worth noting the lack of language-based servers. This means that it is possible to see a mix of languages on both EU and NA servers.

As needed, additional servers may be added to the Season of Mastery or beyond, if the queue times are worse than they were when the original game was released.

Season of Mastery will be live on 16 November. It includes all new mechanics for raids, Hardcore support and no World Buffs!
