Warzone Caldera Map Draws Inspiration from Real-Life Locations
The arrival of Season1 in Warzone Pacific is nearing and the community is eager to get into the new Calderamap. Activision continues to reveal more information about the map’s point of interest (POI) via its postcards. Many gameplay modifications have been made for the immensely popular battle royale.
Reddit users are able to see that many locations were inspired by real-world locations as more details become available. Warzone has no problem drawing inspiration from certain places. Verdansk had several buildings that resembled structures found in Europe.
Reddit user Metaforze posted photos of real-life places that were used as inspiration for Caldera’s buildings. Five locations have already been created, all based on Hawaii, France, and other Pacific Islands.
These are the five real-life locations revealed.
- Ali’iolani Hale, Honolulu, O’ahu
- Haleakala Observatory, Maui
- Ford Island Control Tower (Pearl Harbor, O’ahu)
- Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Honolulu, O’ahu
- Lorient Submarine Pen, France (Keroman III)
This post created an instant buzz in the community. “Honestly, the map looks so clean.” Many colors, can’t wait to see it in-game,” one user responded.
