HERE’S WHERE TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER 3 WILL BE SET AND WHAT RACES WE CAN EXPECT

Total War is now officially announced. It will grace our screens later in the year with its long-awaited arrival. We now have a better idea of what to expect at launch.

Creative Assembly had previously released the map for Total War, Warhammer 2 when it unveiled the Skaven. We were able to see the Skaven Campaign and interview the developers at the Total War event. This helped us conclude that Total War 3 is set in the East. At least, this is true.

What can we expect to see in Total War Warhammer 3?

In the event, we attended a presentation on the complete Mega-Campaign for Total War: Warhammer (named later Mortal Empires), which allows you to combine both the first and second games with playing the entire series as any race from either game. The whole Total War: Warhammer map so far was shown… which showed a blank area to the East of the mountains that run alongside the Badlands and the Empire. We were asked to conclude where the third game would be set.

This makes perfect sense. Total War 1 and 2’s combined map covers all Western sides of Warhammer’s map. Creative Assembly can only use the Eastern areas to play the next game. Let’s take a look at this world map.

The map for the first game is located in the red area. The Blue area. It is mostly water, which is why it is so large. This is the Total War: Warhammer II campaign map. You can view more details on the map at the top of the page.

Only Total War: Warhammer III can be set in the Purple area. This area includes the Dark Lands and Ogre Kingdoms, Nippon, Grand Cathay, Grand Cathay, Grand Cathay, Grand Cathay, as well as the Hinterlands of Khuresh. These are areas based on India and China and Russia, Japan, Russia, and other countries.

Later, the Total War: Warhammer 3 announcement confirmed that the map extends “from the mysterious Lands of the East through the daemon infested Realms of Chaos.” It seems like we are also moving a little beyond “east.”

We were able to see the campaign map for Total War: Warhammer 3’s November 2021 in its final form. This physical bonus item is also included in the two boxed editions. Although it is difficult to identify all the territories and their terrains, it appears that we will be able to sail more minor than in Warhammer 2.

Reddit user by cwbonds created a larger version of the map, which clearly showed the territories.

Creative Assembly provided us with a better view of Total Warhammer 3’s campaign maps in December 2021. It highlighted territories belonging to Kislev and Cathay and the Ogre Kingdoms.

It appears to be going for more stylized visuals, which, despite being visually striking, can easily distinguish between Cathay’s emerald and wintry lands. The Great Bastion, which separates Grand Cathay and the Chaos Wastes beyond, is perhaps the most striking sight.

Total War: Warhammer 3 Races

Total War: Warhammer 3 will launch with a total of seven races, the most of any base game in the trilogy. Four of its factions are dedicated to the Chaos Gods; two represent the defenders of the mortal realms, with the last being a bunch of massive and very hungry ogres.

Khorne – A Chaos God associated with violence, bloodshed and War, Khorne is perhaps the easiest to understand. Juggernauts and Bloodletters and Bloodthirsters appeared in the CGI trailer of Warhammer 3. They will be included in the daemonic roster available to players who wish to collect Skulls and get the Skull Throne.

Nurgle: Nurgle is a Dark God who deals in decay and disease. His campaign mechanics include the cycle of death and rebirth. His unit roster includes cute frogs and many daemons eager to spread the plague around the globe.

Slaanesh While one might argue that the gods of excess and obsession have more influence than those more educated and sophisticated, they are still more likely to enjoy the slaughter than their peers. N’kari has led many units into battle, including the Keepers of Secrets and Deadly Daemonettes.

In the Changer Of Ways, Tzeentch also deals with deceit, lies, and Sarthorael, the Everwatcher, gave us a glimpse of the Lords of Change’s abilities in the original game. Flamers, Pink Horrors and Burning Chariots are just a few of the many shielded units that the race has available. They focus on hit-and-run tactics.

Kislev If your trip north to the Empire took you past Chaos, you may have seen Kislev as a stronghold against them. It’s receiving the complete faction treatment in Warhammer 3. Tzarina Katarin Bogkha leads Kislev into battle as one of the most flexible rosters.

Grand Cathay This is the largest human Empire in Warhammer’s world. Creative Assembly and Games Workshop created it for Total War. Warhammer 3 boasts a balanced unit list that rewards when it achieves harmony.

Ogre Kingdoms Total War. Warhammer 3’s preorder bonus is the Ogre Kingdoms. This bonus is for a race that relies heavily on monstrous units and takes a more straightforward approach to fight. Total War: Warhammer 2 was the first game to feature Ogre units. Their mercenary nature is evident in the final game, where they are constantly looking for mercenary contracts so that their bellies remain full.
