SLITHERINE ANNOUNCES TERMINATOR: DARK FATE – DEFIANCE AS ITS NEWEST REAL-TIME STRATEGY GAME
Skydance Media and Publisher Slitherine today launched Terminator Dark Fate: Defiance, the first real-time strategy game based on the rebooted universe. The Russian studio Cats Who Play developed the title. It gives players control of a small group of survivors and asks them to fight Legion’s forces to save humanity.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance’s single-player campaign places you in the role of a commander from the Founders faction. As you navigate a strategic map with different objectives, your core army can carry over from missions.

We are trying to create an immersive experience that combines the richness of sci-fi storytelling with the fast-paced RTS gameplay. This all while remaining true to our roots in strategy gaming. “
The developer claims that your strategic decisions will have “wide-reaching story repercussions.” The title will focus on tactical battles that pit infantry, armor, and the dreaded terminators against one another rather than building bases.
Damage is calculated considering the vehicle’s armor characteristics and hull structure. You can also demolish buildings in urban areas to create new tactical opportunities.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance will also include a multiplayer mode where players can control the Legion or Resistance factions along with the Founders. Support for 1v1, 2v1, or 2v2 matches.
Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance will be launched digitally sometime in 2022.
