AEW File For ‘New Age Outlaws’ Trademark

The trademark has been filed by AEW’s ring veteran, ‘Mr. Ass,’ Billy Gunn. This trademark is for one of the most iconic tag teams of the Attitude Era: The New Age Outlaws. Gunn, who formed a successful duos team with Road Dogg back in the nineties, will potentially reunite with his long-lost brother in arms as part of the All Elite Wrestling roster following Brian James’ released by WWE earlier in the month.

Rumors started to surface shortly after Road Dogg was released from WWE. Both Gunn and he suggested that there may be a mini-DX reunion outside of the hallowed halls at WWE. All signs point to this happening now that the NAO trademark was claimed by a member from the AEW roster.

This would be a major win for AEW. It would appeal to nostalgia fans and add another star to their roster. Road Dogg spent the majority of his career as a backstage producer at WWE and NXT. His experience and knowledge would be a great asset to AEW’s younger stars.

The AEW tag division will see the New Age Outlaws emerge. Will they be a one-and-done act or just a cheap pop band?
