The Final Fantasy XIVLive letter provided a lot of information about the game’s future. These included details on the features that we can expect during the post-end walker 6. x patch cycle. We’ve already covered all we know about Flash IV Patch 6. We expect to launch it in April. We’ll now tell you what we know about Patch 6.2.

The 6.2 updates will bring the Island Sanctuary to life. Director and producer Naoki Yashida did not reveal the details of what the content would contain. However, he said that it was “large-scale” content that is separate from the rest of the game. The Endwalker revealed it for the first time at FanFest in 2013. In an interview with last year, Yoshida san stated that Harvest Moon fans were also on the Final Fantasy XIV Team, so everyone seems to have fun.” This should give an idea of the vibe Island Sanctuary is trying to create.

The expansion to the Trust system will continue. This will allow you to take AI-controlled party members into main story dungeons that are older content. Following the 6.1 departure, Patch 6.2 will expand Trusts to MSQ dungeons across A Realm reborn‘s 2.x quests and the first half of Heavensward_’s MSQ. Check out our complete story on the Patch 6.x series revamps old content.

During the Live Letter, a new type of content was also revealed: Criterion Dungeons. These dungeons are new and have difficulty levels that can be used by one (1) to four (4) players. The difficulty level will vary depending on the party size. Patch 6.2 introduces the first Criterion Dungeon, and there will be more in future patches. Live Letters will provide more information about these dungeons.

Patch 6.2 will include the four next instances of the eight-player Pandaemonium Raid Series. We believe the raid will be called Pandaemonium Abyssos based on its story. (If you still haven’t completed the first leg of this raid series, make sure to visit our Pandaemonium Asphodelos Raid Guide.

Patch 6.2 will continue to tell the story of this new era FFXIV. It will also include new trails and additional content in Faux Hollows. A bullet point was made about new weapon enhancements. However, it was not mentioned. You can see the Live Letter slide that details Patch 6.2.
