The new trailer for ‘Hogwarts Legacy” reveals PS5-specific features.

Hogwarts Legacy has undoubtedly been the most anticipated new game in the pipeline. It’s honestly looking like everything that fans have been imagining and more.

We interacted with students and other magical creatures, traveled the open world on our broomsticks, and engaged in duels earlier this year. As reported by VGC, we have a new trailer that shows some of the immersive features that PlayStation 5 owners will be able to experience when the title comes out later in the year.

The DualSense controller is being made a lot of use. There’s haptic feedback to improve flight and adaptive triggers to make combat more challenging. Using the dynamic light bar, you can even bring your house colours into the game. (Ravenclaw may have been a bit too clever). The game will also offer 3D audio via built-in TV speakers and headphones. And, of course, it’s topped off by stunning 4K visuals.

“Spells will feel different when casting thanks to haptic feedback,” WB Games Avalanche community manager, Chandler Wood, wrote in a post on PlayStation. These effects have been specifically made to be on the right-hand side of the controller so that the DualSense can act as an extension of your wand in the game. You’ll also feel the heat of Protego’s magic being reflected into the Shield Charm when you deflect a spell.

Wood said that adaptive triggers and tactile feedback don’t only apply to spellcasting or wandwork. The DualSense controller allows you to feel many events around the world. This includes crushing ingredients in Potions class, the sound of Mandrake seedlings, and flying through the sky on a Hippogriff or a broom. DualSense connects you to magic on PS5.
