HYENAS IS A SCI-FI PVPVE SHOOTER FROM CREATIVE APPLY
Today, Sega Publisher and Creative Assembly developer unveiled Hyenas, their latest PvPvE First-person Shooter. The title, known for its work with the Total War series of games, represents another attempt to explore new territories after 2014’s Alien: Isolation.
Hyenas imagine a future where billionaires from Earth build mansions on Mars and then destroy the planet with the zero-gravity technology that powers their journey. They can only get back at them by stealing rare Merch, which they then use to furnish their Martian mansions.
Players form a team of three and select a Hyena “from an ragtag cast unique skilled and armed criminal misfits,” and brave Plunderships stuffed with loot that reminds of Earth’s past.
Your three-man squad will compete against three other players. You’ll also need to deal with billionaire-hired thugs, alarm systems, and armed drones.
The ultimate goal of your endeavour is to overcome all obstacles and extract as much Merch possible.
The publisher explained that each Plundership was a “sandbox playground” of interlocking systems, which provides endless opportunities for innovative teams to exploit the environment and security networks to gain an advantage. “
Sneaky tactics no longer work. You’ll need to rely on fast movement and guns alongside “hazardous and sometimes switchable zero-G zones. This will give you dramatic opportunities to control your environment and trap or eliminate other crews. “
Publisher Sega states that Hyenas will not include pay-to-win mechanics. However, you can get Panini sticker albums and SEGA Mega Drives, PEZ dispensers, Sonic figurines, and SEGA Mega Drives.
