The King of Fighters 97A has the same gameplay as previous KOF installments, but two distinct and new playing styles are now available to choose from before choosing a team. The two modes of play are called Advanced and Extra.
The Advanced Mode is based on the previous game of the series, KOFaEUR ™96. It has a revamped power gauge. Instead of charging it, the Power gauge is filled when the player hits the opponent and performs some special moves.
The Extra Mode was derived from the first stA of two games, KOFaEUR ™,94 and KOFaEUR ™,95. This mode requires the player to charge the power gauge or fend off the enemy’s attacks.
The player enters the MAX mode once the gauge has been filled. Like the Advanced Mode, the offensive and defensive capabilities of the character are increased. King of Fighters 97 is a game with amazing visuals. The action in the game is smooth. This game is a must-have.
