Stronghold Crusader offers several real-time on-chain campaign options. The documents include the First, Second, and Third Crusades, along with conflicts between the Crusader States.
Each campaign is made up of multiple battles. For example, Nicea, Heraclea, the Siege Of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers, and the Siege Of Jerusalem.
It also includes the “Crusader Trail”, a set of 50 linked missions that pit you against different opponents. Stronghold Warchest includes two additional Crusader Trails. One consists of thirty linked missions, and the other is a twenty-linked mission.
Gameplay is very similar to Stronghold, with the only difference being that it takes place in the Middle East. Due to this, players will be competing for limited farmland.
There are new AI opponents (the amount depends on which version you have) as well as several units that come from Arabia and can be purchased from an outpost of mercenaries. To match the Knights Templar colors, the color of player units has also changed to red.
