Skyblivion Project Lead asks Discord for help to resolve the hack which has the team in “crisis mode”
Since its release, modders have worked hard to ensure that Skyrim continues to evolve and expand.
Some have tried to change the game with unique characters, helpful mechanics, and new adventures. Others have gone so far as to give your Dragonborn a chance to engage in a brawl or to earn Dibella’s blessing, without breaking into temples.
Other projects, however, are more ambitious and aim to recreate an Elder Scrolls game from scratch or to create a massively new area for the players. The team behind Skyblivion is currently having difficulty resolving the hack on Discord.

A hacker has hacked the account of the Project Lead (Rebelzize), who then began “attacking” and “removing everything” related to this mod from servers that were dedicated to it.
The modder stated in the original post that “my life’s works are being ripped to pieces and every second counts.” They also noted in another posting that this issue affects two servers: one is the Skyblivion community server which boasts close to 39k users, and the other is dedicated more to development.
Rebelzize told us that it was difficult to determine what information they had access to. “We are currently in a crisis and trying to minimize the damage,” they said. “My biggest fear is they will leak either the build of the mod or the contact details of my friends (which they could have obtained through the various online platforms which we use).”
The developers also said that the “massive” toll of being involved with a project such as this is exacerbated by “stalking and death threats” or “harassment” and “hacking”.
The team members, including myself, already make sacrifices. “People have no idea the amount of time and effort that goes into this project, and on top (of) all this, you have to deal with this sh*t,” said the modder who has yet to receive a reply from Discord about the issue.
Rebelzize said that despite the hack the team would “keep moving forward” and added: “Hopefully, the damage (to the project) will not be too severe.”
Skyblivion will be released in 2025. A recently published roadmap video has detailed how the work on this mod is progressing.
