Microsoft is getting closer and closer to acquiring Activision. They’ll be able to use a new set of IPs, and Tony Hawk’s Underground fans are hoping for a remake.

Tony Hawk’s Underground was first released in 2003 by Neversoft. It was released in 2003 on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. A PC version for Windows followed a year after. underground is different from other Tony Hawk titles because it features an amateur skateboarder who progresses through the story.

There’s no denying that remakes have become a huge trend. As examples, you can look to Dead Space and The Last of Us Part I as well as Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Reddit user MagicHoops3 started the conversation by writing: “The Tony Hawk Series is the solution for the Activision games that need to be brought [or] Remastered.”

Sleepinismy9to5 said that “THUG 1” is essential. It’s near perfect, and I can’t recall a game with a more vile villain than Eric Sparrow. Diverdown125 also added: “I totally agree. I played it over and again when I was a child. I’m really hoping that THUG and this game will be remastered. GraniteStater69 stated, “THUG 1, THUG 2, and THAW were a legendary series. Sometimes I dust off my GameCube and get some rides.”

Microsoft’s plans for Activision are still unknown, should this acquisition be successful. Xbox has a signed deal to keep Call of Duty available on PlayStation. PlayStation fans worry about the fate of Spyro Bandicoot. Crash Bandicoot was once considered a PlayStation icon.
