Last chance to get the massively popular, loot-filled game on PlayStation Plus
Subscribers can play Borderlands3 for free until the end of the month.
We reported yesterday on the 10 PlayStation Plus titles that will be removed from the Extra Tier game catalog in August. There were a number of fan favorites on that list, including The Crew 2, and others. Borderlands 2 was a particular loss.
Borderlands 3 follows the same formula as previous entries, where you shoot baddies and take their equipment so that you can kill baddies more effectively. The game has the charm and humor that have made this series popular. It also ramps up destruction by adding more weapons, abilities, and methods of mayhem.
It is still popular, despite not being one of the top entries. Many of its players will likely have played the game via PlayStation Plus. This service previously offered the three first games in the Handsome Collection before the removal of the collection.
It’s a shame that the game has been removed from PS Plus, but there is always the possibility it will return as one of our monthly freebies or be added to the service again in the future.
PlayStation Plus works like the mythical Hydra: remove one title and it will be replaced by two others. In August, several high-rated titles will be added to the Extra games catalog as well as new bonuses for Essential subscribers.
Subscription services usually deliver masterpieces as well as charming gems of indie games. Many players would not have played these titles if they were not added each month.
PlayStation Plus members have until August for the last month to enjoy the games that will be leaving the service.
