Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PS4 and Xbox One
This is quite a shock. It’s confirmed, months after the initial launch on PC and new-gen consoles, that Star Wars Jedi Survivor will be available on PS4 and Xbox One. Who would have thought it?
Cal Kestis’ new adventure was announced to skip the previous-gen version prior Jedi Survivor release. This allowed developers to concentrate on creating a new-gen game that was optimized. Stig Asmussen, the game director, spoke of the rapid loading speeds on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S as well as DualSense’s haptics in May 2022. It was evident that the team planned to make full use of all the new-gen capabilities when bringing this highly anticipated sequel to life.
This news is a complete surprise. IGN reported that during yesterday’s EA quarterly earnings call, Respawn Entertainment confirmed they are in “early development stages” for the Xbox One/PS4 port.
Will McCue, of GAMINGbible fame, gave Jedi Survivor nine points out 10 and called it “the best Star Wars video game of a long time”. He said: ” Star Wars Jedi Survivor improves on all the issues fans raised with Fallen Order while adding in countless new features that will keep players engaged for a very long time. It will take something special to prevent Survival from being the most popular action/adventure video game in 2023.
As of the date this article was written, we are not sure when Survivor is going to be released on PS4 or Xbox One. We could still wait a little while. This is still great news for those who haven’t yet purchased a new-generation console.
