There are fewer and fewer playable demos available, at least for consoles. There are playable demos for PlayStation Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. But they don’t seem to be as prevalent as in previous years.
It seems that digital stores on PC, such as Epic Games or Steam offer a variety of demos to play. There is something for everyone. Steam can also be a haven for asset-flipping shovelware. Thankfully, the demo in this article is a gem.
The game is The 7th Seal. It should not be confused with Ingmar Berman’s 1957 film The Seventh Seal. The video game shares a medieval theme with the movie, but I’m not sure. You can Download Now the demo via Steam.
The synopsis for The 7th Seal states “The King has died …,”. After the death of his Heir, the King gave six seals as a gift to noble families. The steward of the King holds on to the 7th seal. You have a claim on the throne that is at least as powerful if you are not stronger than the nobles.
To claim the 7th seal, you need to collect all six seals on one banner. The Steward will only then award the seventh seal. “The fate of the kingdom is at risk,” continues it. Claim the throne…or bend the knee!
What kind of game exactly is the 7th Seal? This independent game was developed by Legacy Gameworks. It is described as a “tactical turn-based strategy” that can be played alone or with your friends.
Claim your crown by increasing your power, developing your land, and forcing your opponents to kneel! To conquer enemy territory, use a tactical and thoughtful strategy. “Force your enemies to fight under your banner, and help you claim your rightful position on the throne.”
