GTA Online Datamine reveals major GTA 6 features
According to reports of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks, its developers plan for players to have complete freedom over editing and customizing its open-world environment.
Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most highly anticipated games ever, which comes as no surprise since Rockstar Games achieved monumental sales success with Grand Theft Auto V across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms – surpassing 180 Million sales since release!
The next entry in this series reportedly boasts an expansive map filled with both new and returning areas to explore, along with numerous gameplay features and activities that promise an experience like none before it.
Leakers have recently pointed to evidence from a data mine as proof the forthcoming game may allow players to edit and alter its open world to their hearts’ content, creating exciting possibilities for modders, roleplayers, and others who wish to customize it further.
Tez2, an insider on GTA Forums, revealed similarities in code between various Rockstar titles – particularly Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption games.
They shared scripts from Grand Theft Auto Online that were likely composed using creator tools, with speculation suggesting some may also exist or may become available within Grand Theft Auto VI.
Tez2 commented, stating the new tools as level editors that belong to the creator/UGC system primarily benefit designers, while those designed specifically for VI and backported to GTAO would provide even greater advantages for designers.”
Players could use these tools and scripts in their own gaming scenarios to control where various NPCs go or how they behave, for instance.
Tez2 went on to explain: “Here, they could potentially include the role-playing community. Both Rockstar and Take-Two recognize its immense potential, so I don’t see why VI wouldn’t tap into that market if its lifespan extends over 10 years.
An exciting prospect would be being able to alter and modify the GTA VI world; Rockstar still hasn’t announced anything official regarding the release or reveal; Take-Two has hinted its launch may occur sometime around 2025 though.
Hopefully, official announcements about one of the biggest games of this decade will come later this year; otherwise, we have quite an extended wait ahead before seeing anything tangible from one of its developers.
