PlayStation exclusive: Early access to one 2023’s most anticipated games
Xbox spent a lot of money to buy Activision but the beta version for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III is still coming first to PlayStation consoles.
The news is great for PlayStation fans, but it’s not as good for Xbox. Last week the official announcement of Modern Warfare III was made. Fans had mixed feelings about it.
Some were thrilled to hear that a new Call Of Duty was on its way. Others were skeptical about the game’s value since it had originally been planned as DLC for Modern Warfare II (2020).
There’s a growing debate about how long Call Of Duty will be available on different platforms. Xbox paid $68.7 Billion to acquire Activision Blizzard. While the deal has been met with some resistance from countries around the world, it will no doubt be approved.
Xbox has repeatedly stated that it does not have any plans for this. Many believe this could prove to be a mistake in the long run, particularly after recent leaks claiming that the Modern Warfare III beta will be released on PlayStation first.
CharlieINTEL shared on Twitter and then showed an Arabic Sony YouTube ad. The ad is translated as: “Play first the PlayStation demo,… available on PlayStation five days earlier than any other platform.”
In the ad, it was also stated that the beta version of the game would be available only to preordered players. The beta date was not given but is likely to be in the coming weeks or months.
Xbox may not be happy with the outcome, after all, it spent a lot of money to acquire the publisher. But once the agreement is finalized, Xbox players will likely get some exclusive bonuses or features.
Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III will be released on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC later in the year.
