Xbox users demand an end to Series S Parity After Missing Out on Massive RPG
Xbox fans want the Xbox Series S to be dropped if they can get better titles.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been released recently on the computer. A PlayStation version is set to be released in September. Since then, fans have been amazed by this RPG, and many claim that it will be the Game Of The Year in 2023. This is especially true after the game surpassed The Legend Of Zelda – Tears Of The Kingdom, to become the most highly rated game of the year.
Xbox is a completely different experience. While PlayStation gamers are eagerly awaiting the PlayStation version of the game, PC players have enjoyed the game to date. According to reports, Baldur’s Gate 3 for Xbox is being delayed by the Xbox Series S. This has caused the porting date to be unknown.
Xbox has two consoles on the market: the powerful Xbox Series X and the more affordable Xbox Series S. Due to a clause called “feature parity”, a new game cannot be released on both systems at once. The game won’t be released on Xbox until Larian Studios is able to get it working on Xbox Series S. This will happen regardless of the performance it has on Series X.
Microsoft has been questioned about whether it should keep the parity clause or it should prioritize the Series X console, which is more powerful, instead of holding back games for both consoles.
The current-gen consoles were supposed to take the quality and performance of next-generation games to new heights. This has been accomplished in most cases, as a variety of new and upcoming games have fully embraced the technology.
