Red Dead Redemption 2, released in 2010, served as a prequel. Set in 1899 in an imagined representation of Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States regions; Arthur Morgan from Van der Linde Gang is featured as protagonist.
Arthur must cope with the decline of Wild West while also fighting off government forces, rival gangs, and other enemies of survival in his battle to stay afloat despite these factors. Meanwhile, John Marston from Red Dead Redemption also plays an integral part of this tale.
This game provides both first- and third-person perspectives for maximum immersion into its interactive open world environment. Gameplay elements in The Division include shootouts, heists, hunting and horseback riding; as well as interacting with non-player characters (NPCs).
All while upholding an honor rating through moral decisions and deeds. Red Dead Online’s multiplayer mode was first made available as a beta release back in November 2018 before going fully live in May 2019 as its full launch was scheduled to happen by then.
A bounty system similar to Grand Theft Auto franchise’s wanted system serves to guide law enforcement response when crimes committed by players occur, similar to how its “wanted” system responds. Red Dead Online beta versions were made available before its full launch later that same month.
