Red Faction: Guerrilla is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by Volition and THQ. Players take control of Alec Mason as they assist the Red Faction’s mission against Earth Defence Force (EDF) on Mars.
Volition has altered its camera perspective so players can fully experience and appreciate what is destroyed around them, unlike previous Red Faction games that used the Geomod engine; Guerrilla does not permit the destruction of terrain in gameplay.
However, Geomod 2.0 allows buildings and cover to be destroyed easily for an increased creative approach; breaking or smashing through structures to reach objectives as quickly as possible or levelling multi-story buildings and large bridges or catwalks to outwit an enemy can all provide options to just this.
