Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist is an action-adventure, stealth video game that was developed in collaboration with Ubisoft Toronto and released by Ubisoft. In Blacklist you take control of protagonist Sam Fisher as he seeks to stop a terrorist organization named the Engineers. The gameplay focuses on stealth and uses a third-person viewpoint. In the game it is possible for players to move their camera, move, jump, and jump over obstructions.
Because Blacklist was designed to carry on Conviction’s “aggressive sneaky” of Conviction but still retain the classic elements of stealth from the earlier games, the game is a combination of stealth and action which allows players to employ various strategies and approaches to accomplish their goals and beat adversaries. The players can finish stages without being noticed by characters that are not playable artificial intelligences by taking cover or using traditional strategies for stealth. When a player decides to take out enemies, the other players are notified when they come across their friends corpses. To prevent this from happening, players may hide corpses.
Fisher is also able to create an aesthetically appealing dark space by dismantling nearby lights and has a range of custom night-vision and sonar glasses to spot enemies in darkness and even see through the walls. The Tri-Rotor which is a small surveillance drone that allows you to monitor enemies, cause disorientation, deliver electrical shocks and even self-destruct and eliminate enemy.
