Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Tie Quan Tatsugutonamento 2 Tekken Taggu Tonamento) is the eighth major installment of the Tekken fighting game series. It was made available at Japanese arcades on the 14th of September, 2011.
As in the original Tekken Tag Tournament, matches consist of each participant choosing two opponents to battle. It is possible to swap their opponents at any point, allowing players to slowly gain back some lives they lose.
In certain instances when a character is inactive, their life bar will flash and give the character a brief boost in power if they’re tagged into. If the life bar for one of the fighters in a game is exhausted, the player is eliminated from the round. If the timer runs out that player with the longest cumulative lives between their opponents wins the game.
