Titanfall is an online multiplayer first person shooter developed by Respawn Entertainment, and published by Electronic Arts. It is set in war-torn and derelict colonies on the Frontier edge of space exploration, where you can play as the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation or Frontier Militia. The only game mode is online multiplayer, which contains elements of single-player gameplay such as the plot, dialogue between characters, and NPCs. Titanfall does not have offline or split-screen single-player modes.
It also doesn’t support system linking over local area networks (LANs). Vince Zampella, founder of Re-spawn, said that the game brought “scale, story, and verticality” to first-person shooting games. The game begins with up to 12 human players choosing their pilot type and being dropped onto the map. Titans are deployed on a regular basis, depending on the on-screen counter, which has to reach zero in order for a Titan to be called. The timer is reduced when you kill other players. The summoning of Titanfall is accompanied by the instruction to standby. A Titan will then drop from above, protected by a forcefield.
