Halo 2 is a 2004 first-person shooter video game created by Bungie. It features a mixture of alien and human-made weapons and vehicles to advance through the levels of the game. The health bar of the player cannot be seen, but the players have an armored shield that absorbs damage and is recharged when they are not firing.
Certain weapons can be used dual-wielded, which allows the user to trade precision, and recourse to grenades as well as melee attacks to gain firing power. One player may use two different weapons at a time (or three when dual-wielding; the weapon that is holstered remains) Each weapon has advantages and disadvantages for diverse combat situations.
As an example, the majority of Covenant guns do not have ammo clips made of disposable ammunition in favor of a sealed battery which is not able to be replaced once exhausted. They are prone to overheating if fired repeatedly for long periods. Human weapons are not as effective at piercing walls and require replenishment, however, they cannot heat up in the event of a prolonged fire.
A player can carry eight weapons (four human grenades and Covenant, and four Covenant) to break up and destroy opponents. A new feature of Halo 2 is the ability to get aboard enemy vehicles that are close to the player and move at a low speed. The AI, or the player, connects to the vehicle and then forcefully ejects another driver out of the vehicle.
