Hearthstone Teases Possible Monk Class in Upcoming Expansion
Hearthstone may have hinted at the introduction of a new class—Monk—in its latest teaser for the third and final expansion of 2024. The official announcement is set for October 10, but fans have already noticed clues pointing toward the debut of this long-awaited class.
A video shared by Hearthstone on Twitter shows several content creators appearing “starstruck” while standing in front of an observatory wall under a starry sky, reinforcing the celestial theme previously teased. Notably, the creators are dressed in robes that resemble the traditional garb of Monks, which has led to speculation about the possible arrival of the Monk class in the game.
Monks are the only remaining class from World of Warcraft that has not been introduced to Hearthstone—aside from the Dracthyr-only Evoker class. Known for their agility, martial arts skills, and mastery of Chi, Monks could bring a unique playstyle to Hearthstone, potentially featuring a focus on fast-paced moves and special abilities tied to the August Celestials. If added, the iconic character Chen Stormstout would likely serve as the class’s default hero.
While this teaser has sparked excitement, it’s not yet confirmed if a Monk class is truly on the way, as the robes could simply align with the celestial expansion’s theme. Fans won’t have to wait long to find out, with the official expansion announcement coming on October 10.
