Pokémon Legends: Arceus has all-new Pokémon, including a new nightmare fish
Pokemon Legends: Arceus will send players to the Hisui region of the Pokemon world, the Sinnoh of the ancient past, and with that new location comes all-new Pokemon. During Wednesday’s Pokemon Presents digital show, game Freak and the Pokemon Company unveiled four new Pokemon to the region. One of them is Basculegion.
First, some good news. Stantler will soon be getting Wyrdeer, a new Hisui regional evolution.
The Pokemon Company stated that the antlered Pokemon evolved from Stantler, who have survived in the harsh environment of the Hisui region. Wyrdeer is a “strong ally” with locals and is treated with respect. As warm winter clothing, garments made of its fur, which sheds from its tail, beard and legs, are highly prized.
Hisuian Growlithe is also well-insulated, with a new laptop as well as beautiful chest hair. Its head has a rock horn. It is adorable! Braviary, another Hisuian variation, can infuse its screeches and generate shockwaves by using psychic power. Normal stuff.
Basculegion is another example. Basculin, the new hostile Pokemon evolution, has a disturbing description.
Basculegion can “swim with great power.” A new trailer for Pokemon Legends shows a trainer riding the Basculegion through the water and over embankments. He is likely unaware of the multitude of tortured souls that power its movements.
But! Pokemon Legends – Arceus will be coming to Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2022, partly powered by the spirits of dead fish schools.
