EARLY QUESTIONS: HALO INFINITE CAPACAIGN
A YouTube overview of Halo Infinite’s Campaign was uploaded on October 25th. Fans will soon be able to meet these new characters in-game. Based on this overview, here are some questions you might have about Halo Infinite’s campaign.
CORTANA: WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
This is the central question of the campaign. There are a few theories. Halo legend says Zeta Halo used to be Master Builder Faber’s laboratory for experiments he wanted to keep from the Librarian. It is believed that he conducted morally questionable biological experiments on human beings. This research may be the key to Cortana’s recovery. Cortana was created using an AI clone from Dr. Halsey. She therefore has a biological source.
This second possibility occurred to me when I was considering . The Fallout 4 quest, “Emergent Behavior”, requires that the player help Curie, a Miss Nanny Robot, become as human as possible. Doctor Amari informs the player that Curie can be made into a synthetic. Synths are highly advanced AIs that have synthetic bodies that can be indistinguishable with humans. Perhaps Master Chief could fix Cortana in the same way that Doctor Amari helped Curie. Maybe he will decide that Cortana can be bound to a physical body so she can stop her murder spree.
This leads to another question: What would the physical form of that body be? Most likely, it would be a Promethean body. Master Chief might find a Zeta Halo Composer that can somehow convert Cortana to a Promethean construction. He may find a way for her to be bound to a Data Crystal Chip. The new AI, “The Weapon,” might be able help.
WHO IS JEGA ‘RDOMNAI?
Master Chief should have a recurring enemy instead of fighting endless expendable enemies. This is something I like. Jega could be a great character. His Bloodblades are deadly weapons. He holds the shorter one in his left hand, covering his forearm like it was meant to be used defensively. I would like to know if ‘Rdomnai participated in the Human-Covenant war. He may have had a vendetta against Master Chief at the time, which could make for a fascinating subplot. I would also like to know the names of Spartans that he killed in order to be crowned “Spartan Killer”.
