Blizard has released a hotfix for World of Warcraft Shadowlands today. This fixes an issue that caused Rated PvP items from the weekly great vault not to have any chance of gaining sockets or bonus attributes.

A second bug was also identified and fixed, causing these PvP items not to be upgraded by socket items from Korthia Research.

A major problem was that renown could not be awarded to players who choose to follow the threads of destiny by completing Shadowlands Dungeons.

The alt accounts of a main with level 80 renown may purchase 40 renown immediately at level 50. Once they select a covenant, they can start earning renown as they move to level 60.

Rewards and Items

  • Rated PvP items obtained from the Great Vault now have the chance to generate random minor attributes and sockets. Additionally, items that add sockets are now available to Rated PvP items previously purchased from the Great Vault 9.1.5.

Developer’s note: We discovered and fixed an additional bug that made 9.1.5 items infected unusable to upgrade.

Threads Of Fate

  • For players who have chosen a Covenant through the Threads of Fate, this issue was fixed.
