Nick Offerman has stepped in as Bill on the HBO Last of Us Show

In July, was confirmed that Chernobylactor Con O’Neil would play Bill on HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us. O’Neil will not be portraying the man who boobytrapped a whole town in the network’s depiction. Parks and Recreation actor Nick Offerman has taken over the role.

Variety first reported the recast. It was later confirmed on social media by Last of Usdeveloper Naughty dog. O’Neil had a scheduling conflict, so Offerman will play Bill alongside Murray Bartlett who plays Frank. The relationship between Bill and Frank was not shown on-screen in The Last of Us. This means that the show will be filling some of the gaps left by.

Offerman will join cast members Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey who will play the main characters Joel, and Ellie. Merle Dandrige will play the role of Marlene in the new show.
