FFXIV Opens Free Trials February 22
Remember the chaos that accompanied the launch of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. Many players could not log in due to the long queues and constant error messages in 2002. Square Enix increased queue sizes and fixed server errors. However, it wasn’t easy to log in during peak hours.
Square Enix responded by halting all sales of FFXIV and preventing the creation of free trial accounts. On January 25, game sales resumed, but no free trial accounts were created. The FFXIV lead producer and creative director revealed the return date for free trials during this evening’s Live letter from the Producer.
On February 22, 2022, free trials will be available! It is unknown when, but it will be back on February 22, 2022. You’ll be able once more to exclaim to your family and friends: Have you heard about the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. You can enjoy an extended free trial that allows you to play through A Realm reborn as well as the award-winning Heavensward expansion, up to level 60, for no cost and with no time restrictions.
FFXIV has begun to settle into its post-expansion operations, with game sales up and new free trials. It’s now time to find those little cracks and niches that will last for the long term.
