The official announcement did not include starship Troopers- Terran Command’s launch date. However, it did contain a good selection of information about the game. This changed when the game demo went live at Steam Next Fest in October 2021.

Starship Troopers – Terran Command Story
Starship Troopers: Terran Command is based on the 1997 film. It takes place in a new world attacked by the Arachnids. You are the Mobile Infantry leader and fight many, many nasty bugs.
It is interesting to note that the story and mission will be influenced by your choices on the battlefield and the achievements you have made. You have the option to be loyal to Terran Command, which can prove costly or refuse to follow orders from your superiors and become a Hero for the Federation.
Starship Troopers: Terran Command Gameplay
Starship Troopers: Terran Command is an exciting strategy game that combines tower defence, tactics, and survival. You must position your troops carefully to exploit choke points and high terrain, where the bugs are almost inexhaustible.
Actual Line of Sight (units can only see each other) and True Line of Fire can be used to your advantage. However, bugs can use them to ambush you and surprise you, increasing tension with every battle. Starship Troopers-Terran Command’s campaign will have players competing for control over an entire planet using a variety of units.
Infantry units with Morita Assault Rifles or MX-90 Fragmentation Grenades make up the bulk of your army. However, you can also use Rocket Troopers to produce more explosive results. Engineers can build defensive positions using MG turrets and barricades. Radio Operators can reinforce nearby units, so you must keep them alive.
The title will not feature in-depth base-building and instead place a greater emphasis on unit placement. However, defensive scenarios that allow players to protect static targets will be shared throughout the campaign. You don’t have to defend the entire campaign. However, you can also go on the offensive to build strong defences.
Starship Troopers: Terran Command may not have resource gathering, but players will still need to manage ammunition. This ammunition is used for special abilities such as grenades, nukes, and building turrets. It also serves to recruit units. Materials are an essential resource required to build the most powerful units. Expansion is the best way to obtain help.
As you progress through the campaign, you will discover new tools such as Marauder mobile suits that can be used against insects. You can attach persistent leader units to your infantry squads and upgrade them as you complete missions.
Arachnids come with their units. These include the charging Warrior bugs and Bombardiers. They also have the Tanker bugs (famous for their resistance) and many other bugs that can be used as long-range artillery.
Arachnid reinforcements are transported through underground tunnels, rather than the Mobile Infantry, who send their reinforcements (and devastating bombardments) from above. These bug holes can be built by any unit, allowing for surprise attacks. Players won’t be in a position to control Arachnids at all, at least not initially.
