The PUBG Mobile and Evangelion Crossover are deeply cursed material
PUBG Mobile currently hosts a limited-time collaboration with ’90s anime Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is truly unique.
This robotic crossover combines elements from NGE’s 1995 series with recent Rebuilds of Evangelion films. It includes Evangelion skins that can be purchased, including pursuits to Shinji Ikari and Rei Ayanami.
An Evangelion Unit-01 skin can be purchased and a Pen-Pen penguin companion, and Extreme Armor models based upon NERV and giant robots. Some armor sets, backpacks, and other collectibles can be locked behind the “Evangelion Discovery” battle pass. This requires that players drop into various games each day to receive the rewards.
The emotes are perhaps the most disturbing aspect of this collaboration. EVA-01’s armor or any Pilot skin can be worn, and you can get quite freaky. Although I have never wanted to witness a massive alien robot throwing it back, now I can’t help but be fascinated. It’s fantastic to see the awkward movements. It is so natural, yet it’s so beautiful.
You can also see EVA-01 and Rammiel in action in the new Core Circle mode. It’s available on the Livik-Erangel maps. This game mode can help you progress your Evangelion Discovery pass and regular matches. It may also give you the boost you need to unlock Shinji.
Neon Genesis Evangelion doesn’t represent PUBG Mobile’s first animated collaboration. They’ve featured previously animated content from Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Lagoon and League of Legends’ Arcane. This mech-themed, sad boy crossover will be running from May 14-2022, to June 19, 2022. You should check it out soon before it all goes to nothing.
